”I’m sorry for that time I kissed you at the party and for that time at the wedding and more than anything for the thousand times that I wanted to and didn’t have the guts to”Saving Francesca was the first book I read by Melina Marchetta, and I honestly feel like kicking myself for not starting it sooner as I LOVED this book. I loved the story, the characters; they were all likeable in their own ways, (I especially loved Thomas and Jimmy, they were so hilarious!). I just loved everything about this book. Marchetta has written Saving Francesca beautifully, I don’t know how she does it, but she has a way of captivating the reader and then makes the reading such an unforgettable experience. I found it to be such an emotional heartbreaking read, but also uplifting at the same time. Overall it was such an amazing, satisfying read that it has definitely made it to my 2011 reads of the year!
