Under the Never Sky - Veronica Rossi 3.5 starsUnder the Never sky was another tantalising dystopian which I regret not having picked up sooner. The characters in Under the Never Sky are all seeking answers, they find themselves into situations they would have never expected but are still battling their way through. Aria is a dweller, after a messed up situation she is thrown out into the wasteland with no way of contacting the realms and no means to survive. Dwellers are not likely to last that long in the outside world, so she knows she has to survive in any way possible. Then there’s Perry he’s a savage from the outside world, the dwellers have kidnapped his nephew and he has to get him back. Before you know it Aria and Perry find themselves working together, it’s not the perfect situation but they realise it’s the only way possible to get the answers they need.Perry and Aria were an unlikely pair forced together in a dangerous world, with Aria so far away from home, she never knew what danger could be lurking around the corner and she had to put her trust in Perry until she found her mum safe.Rossi’s world building in Under the Never sky was phenomenal, you know the saying “there’s never a dull moment” this totally applied to this book. Perry and Aria never knew what could be around the corner so they had to keep their wits about them and constantly be on the lookout for any danger. Rossi’s writing was absolutely flawless; she was able to throw you in this magical crazy world that once you were there you forgot everything happening around you; she created a story which had you holding your breath with its frantic pace and gasping with shock with its crashing blow at the end.I didn’t have any major gripes with Under the Never Sky but felt that I could only really rate it 3.5 stars as I was definitely lured in and I adored the characters but I just needed that extra oomph for me to rate it that little bit higher.I have my fingers crossed that I will love Through the Ever Night that little bit more.
